Mango ice-cream or any kind of ice-cream

Mango ice-cream

My dad would tell me that the way to wind my mom back after they had a fight was through an ice-cream cone and I have seen it worked. So all you men out there, ice-cream is the way to a woman’s heart.

I have always been one who liked to make food and dessert from scratch using natural ingredients and so I had one of those ice-cream churners where you had to use ice and lace it with salt so it won’t melt, then I discovered this far easier way to make ice cream with just three main ingredients:

Base:

  • 1 tin of evaporated milk
  • 1 thin of condensed milk
  • 1 cup of whipping cream

Flavor:

  • 1 cup of mango puree (or banana or any other fruit puree)
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cardamom (optional)
  • sugar is optional depending on your personal taste. For fruit ice-cream, I leave out sugar and depend on the sweetness of the fruit and condensed milk which is already very sweet.

In a food processor mix all of the ingredients on high then put in a pan or bowl and freeze for four hours. Best results is when left to freeze over night. Then scoop away and enjoy!!
